Robins & Morton Receives AGC Build Award for Porter Hospital

Robins & Morton was recently selected as an Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Build Award winner in the General Contractor Over $30MM category for its construction of the Porter Regional Hospital project in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Located on 40 acres of the 104 acre site, Porter Regional Hospital was built with the total patient experience in mind. From the minute you enter the new five story, 225 bed replacement hospital, patients and guests experience a healing environment with soothing materials and colors, peaceful scenic views, natural light, and spacious, comfortable lobbies and waiting rooms. Associates and physicians of the hospital played a central role in the hospitals evolution, collaborating with architects to fine-tune floor plans to ensure the new facility would emphasize efficiency, safety, comfort, convenience and advanced quality care. Proficient and collaborative planning meetings with the owner, architect, engineer and subcontractors throughout the duration of the project allowed us to deliver the project under budget and three months ahead of schedule.

The AGC Build Awards, honoring those who build the nation’s premier construction projects, is one of the most prestigious awards available in the construction industry. Winners are selected based on criteria including the project’s complexity, innovation, coordination with partners and contributions to the community.
