WHAT CAN I EXPECT AS A NEW EMPLOYEE?
If you are assigned to the field, you will become a member of a project team. The team will consist of job site and home office personnel as well as subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, interior designers, and owners. Your daily activities will offer firsthand experience and insight into project management, estimating, scheduling, field supervision, and quality control. Your manager and co-workers will guide you through the experience of learning the various phases of construction projects. Most new employees assigned to field positions begin as Field Engineers. Individuals with higher levels of experience may join the company as Project Managers and Superintendents. Regardless of your title, you will be a valuable, contributing member of the team from day one.

Robins & Morton offers a comprehensive benefits program that includes company paid health and dental plans. Also the company provides employees with company paid life and long-term disability insurance. Dependent insurance may be purchased at the company group rates. Robins & Morton sponsors a 401K plan and a Profit Sharing Plan to help you reach your retirement goals. The Company offers two to four weeks of annual vacation, holidays, travel expenses, living expenses, and relocation reimbursement for job-required relocation. WHERE WILL I WORK?
In addition to the corporate offices in Birmingham, Charlotte, Dallas, Huntsville, Nashville and Orlando, Robins & Morton has job sites throughout the southeast, midwest and the southwestern United States. Projects have been completed in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Based on your experience and the company's needs you may be assigned to a job site or a corporate office. Typically, employees with field and project management experience will begin at job sites and those with estimating, sales, and accounting backgrounds in the corporate offices.

HOW WILL MY WORK BE EVALUATED?
Each employee works with his or her manager to develop a set of Performance Standards, reflecting the job responsibilities of their specific assignment. These are a jointly agreed upon set of major goals and activities expected to be accomplished during the evaluation period. Progress in achieving the results stated in the Performance Standards is reviewed at the end of the period. For new employees, a formal evaluation is held at the end of a six-month period. Experienced employees receive a formal assessment on an annual basis.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS AVAILABLE?
A comprehensive training program is provided for each new employee. The basis for the program is the two-year plan developed jointly by the employee and manager. This plan reflects the career goal of the employee and the steps to be taken in the next two years to move toward that long-term goal. Based on the two-year plan, training may be provided in-house through a series of training classes. Outside training programs may also be provided through professional development courses. These programs concentrate on specific technical skills and management development.
