Description: Huntsville Hospital Off Site Reprocessing Center (HH OSRC) is the latest facility for the growing regional healthcare system. This 74,196 square foot addition to an existing logistics facility, provides the services in which medical/surgical supplies and equipment, both sterile and non sterile, are cleaned, prepared, processed stored and issued for patient care to four Huntsville Hospital facilities as well as healthcare centers throughout the North Alabama area. Custom details were executed throughout the facility. Special attention was paid to the functional flow; the unique requirements for handling the materials in their three conditions (soiled, clean and sterile) dictated the flow of the building and the result was a more efficient process. Flexible dock equipment was installed to fit not only the custom size of the Huntsville Hospital trucks but would accommodate delivery trucks of varying sizes from outside affiliates and allow for greater safety and productivity. Quality and Craftsmanship were of the highest standards on the HH OSRC project, which was completed on time and within budget. The end result was a project the entire project team could be proud of.
