Description: Robins & Morton recently completed a $65.4 million expansion and renovation project at Wellmont-Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. This project added a new four-story tower, which houses a new emergency department. A vertical expansion added a floor on top of an existing four-story building, which is adjacent to the new patient tower. The existing 4th floor of this building was demoed and remodeled for the new Operating Rooms and Sam Day Surgery suites. In order to provide service to the new additions the central energy plant was expanded. This project received 100% customer satisfaction rating from the owner. This project won a Mid Tennessee ABC c Excellence in Construction Eagle Award.
