Description: In May 2008, Robins & Morton completed a $18 million emergency department (ED) renovation and expansion for Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala. The project included a 41,000 sq.ft. build-out of an existing parking deck and renovation of a 30,000 sq. ft. ED. Designed by Chapman Sisson Architects of Huntsville, Ala., the project was completed after a 23 month fast track schedule. The hospital’s ED is now the largest in North Alabama. It is the only ED in Alabama that includes a stat scan room. The project was the recipient of an Award of Excellence from South Central Construction’s Best of 2008 Awards. This project won a North Alabama ABC Excellence in Construction – Eagle Award
