Robins & Morton and Steward Health are working on the Wadley Regional Medical Center replacement hospital in Texarkana, Texas, scheduled for completion in December 2025.
Construction includes a 250,000-square-foot hospital and a 160,000-square-foot medical office building, totaling 410,000 square feet of new patient care space on the campus. The new facilities will offer a full range of services including a 24-hour emergency room with expanded bed capacity, orthopedics, outpatient, cardiovascular, neurology, and maternity care. The hospital will have 123 beds with the ability to expand to 291.
Wadley Regional Medical Center expects that that construction of the new hospital combined with the ongoing impact of the hospital’s employee base will result in a total economic impact of $408 million in the two-county Texarkana service area.
General contractor Robins & Morton is working to complete the $254 million project over three years.
