Construction firm Robins & Morton, Anchor Health Properties, Baptist Health South Florida, and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, celebrated the topping out of the new Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital in South Miami, Florida.
The topping out ceremony marks a significant milestone, signifying the structural completion of the project.
The three-story, 100,335-square-foot facility will feature 62 private inpatient rooms, with the capacity to open an additional 30 private rooms. It will offer specialized treatment for patients with brain or spinal cord injuries, as well as select cardiac, oncology, orthopedic, and stroke patients.

Designed with patient comfort and recovery in mind, the freestanding facility will boast adaptive units, multidisciplinary therapy gyms equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies, and outdoor spaces designed to further support patients in their transition back to daily living activities.
The building will also include a three-story parking garage with capacity for 179 parking spaces to ensure convenient access for patients and visitors.
“This milestone signifies an important step in the construction of this facility and the future services it will bring to our South Miami community,” Robins & Morton Operations Manager Johnathan Peavy said. “We look forward to the next phase and ultimately the lasting, positive impact this project will have for many years to come.”
The facility is scheduled to open in 2026.
