This summer, 13 Robins & Morton team members became the first graduates of the construction firm’s Personal Leadership and Growth Program.
The eight-week program, led by leadership coach Cory Lee and offered by the Robins & Morton Learning and Career Development team, provides training in leadership principles for both professional and personal application.
The cohort participated in weekly meetings with Lee covering topics including:
- An attitude that attracts success
- Perspective matters
- Communicating and connecting principles
- Five barriers that keep leaders from achieving their goals
- Five levels of leadership
- The mindset of a leader
- Discipline: the ability to give yourself a command and follow through
- How to live a great life
Prior to this summer, Robins & Morton offered a Developing a Leadership Culture Program geared toward managers and team leaders. This new program guides team members who are striving to become managers and team leaders in the future.
“This program focuses more on the individual, both personally and professionally, and it’s intended to spark something inside each participant — a desire to invest in themselves and commit to lifelong learning,” Career Development Specialist Sammey Gorham said. “As I sat in on the discussions, I saw a lot of confidence being instilled in our team members.”
