Construction firm Robins & Morton joined Jupiter Medical Center to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new $135 million Tim and Jayne Donahue Patient Care Tower in Jupiter, Florida.
The five-story, 133,000-square-foot building adds 92 patient beds to the hospital’s existing 248-bed capacity, and will include oncology, cardiovascular, and orthopedic services. The Tower also features a high-tech Clinical Simulation Center dedicated to providing hands on training, skills development, teamwork, communications testing, workflows and new technology to promote innovation and ensure the highest levels of patient safety.
“Building a modern patient care tower is about far more than bricks and steel — it’s about creating spaces that elevate care,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center. “Our construction partners brought deep healthcare expertise and a collaborative mindset to this project, helping us deliver advanced specialty floors, a state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Center, and infrastructure designed to support innovation and growth well into the future.”
“From the earliest planning stages through final completion, patient safety and operational readiness were non-negotiable,” said Steve Seeley, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Jupiter Medical Center. “Our construction partners executed this project with precision, meeting the rigorous standards required in a health care environment while delivering a facility designed to support clinical excellence from day one.”
The project also included a $20 million five-deck parking garage with 845 spaces designed to meet the needs of the growing campus.
“The completion of this new patient tower represents a significant milestone for our community, one that will have a lasting, positive impact for many years to come,” Robins & Morton Operations Manager Johnathan Peavy said. “We are grateful to Jupiter Medical Center for the trust placed in our team to build this exceptional facility that will enhance access to quality healthcare and improve the lives of patients and families throughout the region.”
Robins & Morton served as the general contractor and ESa was the architect. This is the second project Robins & Morton has completed on Jupiter Medical Center’s campus in the last five years.
