Construction firm Robins & Morton and Novant Health celebrated the completion of the new Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center campus in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 30.

The $154 million investment brings acute care resources to the growing suburban population in South Charlotte through a 216,236-square-foot hospital, which includes a 57,509-square-foot medical office building.

The historic site, previously owned by Hall Family Farm, was transformed into a 38-acre hospital and medical office building offering services including emergency care, inpatient, women’s care, expanded diagnostic services, and surgical services. Keeping the tradition of community alive, space for community events were also built to ensure continued connection with South Charlotte residents.

“We are excited to open this new facility to serve the community of South Charlotte,” Robins & Morton Project Director Caleb Chandler said. “We are grateful to Novant Health for allowing us to bring their vision to life.”

Robins & Morton served as the general contractor and HDR served as the architect.
