Construction firm Robins & Morton recently completed a new freestanding emergency room for AdventHealth Daytona Beach in Port Orange and a virtual grand opening celebration was held on July 15.
The nearly 18,000-square-foot emergency care center features 24 beds in all private rooms. It will begin serving the public July 19 and will be open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
HuntonBrady Architects served as the project architect and Robins & Morton managed the construction.
“We’re proud to bring new emergency care to the Port Orange community,” Robins & Morton Project Director Angel Colon said. “We value our continued partnership with AdventHealth Daytona Beach to improve healthcare in the region.”
This is one of several AdventHealth freestanding emergency rooms recently completed by Robins & Morton, all intended to increase access to care in Florida communities. These include AdventHealth Westchase near Tampa and AdventHealth Brandon. AdventHealth Belleview and AdventHealth Clermont are currently under construction with fall 2021 completion dates.
