Robins & Morton has been recognized for its adoption-friendly employee benefits by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in rankings released today. Robins & Morton ranked #1 in the architecture, engineering and construction industry and #68 in the top 100 on the organization’s 2021 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List.
Robins & Morton offers its employees unlimited time off pre-adoption to handle home visits, legal matters and travel to facilitate the adoption. Once the child is adopted, the firm offers 10 weeks of paid leave and up to $10,000 of financial assistance and reimbursement. This is the 12th consecutive year that the company has made the list.
The announcement of the 2021 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list comes the month preceding National Adoption Month, a collective campaign to raise awareness of the children in foster care waiting to be adopted.
Since 2007, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has compiled an annual list of the 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces to honor employers who offer the best adoption benefits in the U.S. The rankings, compiled from an annual survey of U.S. employers, are determined by an analysis of each company’s adoption benefits, including the maximum financial reimbursement and the amount of paid leave provided for employees who adopt.
The annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces list also helps increase foster care adoption awareness while celebrating businesses that support adoptive families. There are more than 100,000 children in the U.S. foster care system waiting to be adopted. Every year, more than 20,000 children in foster care turn 18 and age out of the system without families.
