Robins & Morton Tops AEC Industry for Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces

Robins & Morton has been named among the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s 100 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces, ranking No. 1 in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry for the second year in a row.

The list represents organizations leading the way in providing adoption and foster care benefits and recognizing the need for this life-changing support.

The 2025 list includes a diverse group of organizations representing 22 industries. The Foundation partnered with RTI International, an independent, nonprofit research institute, to survey employers across the United States and score participants based on three criteria: financial reimbursement, paid leave and the percentage of employees eligible for those benefits. In addition to the 100 Best and Adoption Advocates lists, the Foundation ranks employers by size, industry, paid leave, foster care benefits and impact.

Robins & Morton offers a robust Adoption Assistance Program, featuring paid time off to complete the adoption process plus parental leave. Eligible team members can also request financial reimbursement of qualifying adoption expenses up to $14,000. In addition to the Adoption Assistance Program, the company’s benefits package features many family-focused offerings including care.com premium memberships, unlimited sick days, and fully covered vision and dental insurance for the employee and their dependents.

“We are honored to be on this list again as we remain committed to supporting our team members who want to grow their families,” Robins & Morton Director of Benefits Susie Brasher said. “We are excited to continue supporting our team members by providing exceptional benefits and resources that make a lasting, positive impact for them.”

President & CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Rita Soronen, shared her appreciation for all organizations offering these life-changing benefits. “We know that these benefits can play a role in a family’s decision to grow through foster care or adoption,” said Soronen. “The organizations recognized this year demonstrate that these supports are not optional perks — they are essential elements of a workplace that values and strengthens families.”
