Construction firm Robins & Morton joined Remedy Medical Properties and Centra Health to celebrate the topping out of Centra Langhorne Medical Center on Nov. 12 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
The project includes a five-story, 126,813-square-foot medical office building that features pre-surgery, imaging, outpatient rehabilitation, endocrinology, brain and spine, urology, pulmonology, and pain management services.
The facility will house multiple specialists to centralize and increase access to healthcare for the Lynchburg community. Additionally, Centra has partnered with the City of Lynchburg to develop an added entry with parking to Blackwater Creek Trail as part of the new property.
“This is a significant milestone for Centra’s Modernization Plan,” said Roger Bradley, vice president of facilities management and construction at Centra. “Completing this project will be one of the key components in enabling our physicians and specialists to be in close proximity to where they can care for their patients, both inside the hospital and in the clinic setting. It will provide our patients with better access and more opportunities for care.”
“We appreciate the trust Centra Health has placed in us to deliver this important healthcare project for the Lynchburg community,” Robins & Morton Operations Manager Mike Bumgardner said. “Our team looks forward to delivering this project and seeing the lasting, positive impact it will have for generations to come.”
The project is scheduled for completion in 2025.
