The 91,731 square-foot addition was constructed of steel with brick and EIFS skin. Robins & Morton constructed the three-story addition and renovation in four phases. Phase 1 included three surface parking lots to allow for the foot print of the patient tower addition and the renovation of the IT and lab room. Phase 2 included new access road to the hospital loading dock and employee parking. During Phase 3, the patient tower and emergency department addition and parking garage were built. Phase 4 included interior renovations of the quick emergency department, allowing the hospital to maintain full service during construction of the new emergency department. By working closely with the hospital and architect and employing a partnering approach, Robins & Morton complete all phases on time and within budget.
