Description: Village Hospital was constructed utilizing a design-build process and consisted of relocating an existing road and constructing a new acute care hospital and support building. This four-story, 144,000 square-foot facility houses 48 patient beds, an emergency department, trauma, labor and delivery, nursery, operating rooms, pre-op and recovery, nuclear medicine, laboratory, radiology, chapel, pharmacy, and administrative offices. The design of this facility includes provisions for future expansions.
The structure is constructed with concrete isolation footings and includes a basement under a portion of the building with reinforced concrete walls and structural steel. The exterior skin is brick veneer with aluminum curtain wall and storefront systems and the roof of the facility is modified bitumen. The interior consists of painted drywall, sheet linoleum and sheet vinyl flooring, and acoustical and drywall ceilings.
