The Valley Hotel, a Curio by Hilton

Just outside Birmingham, Alabama, is the suburb Homewood— a cozy quaint city filled with locally owned shops and restaurants. In the heart of downtown Homewood, the Valley Hotel was constructed by Robins & Morton to contribute to the city’s existing tenor.

The five-story, 129-room, boutique lifestyle hotel was designed by Bounds & Gillespie Architects and built for the development team of Capstone Real Estate Investments and Valor Hospitality Partners. The development, design, and building team partners worked to ensure the design featured unique elements and high quality finishes to deliver Homewood’s first-of-its-kind hotel that offers an exclusive “home away from home” experience.

Upon arrival, guests encounter an incredible outdoor sculpture designed by artist Salem Barker titled The Outpouring. The sculpture pays tribute to Birmingham’s history as the “Iron City” and manufacturing hub of iron ore. This sculpture along with many other art pieces throughout the facility captures the developer’s vision of encompassing the Birmingham’s economic heritage.

The Valley Hotel is a great place for guests to relax and unwind. The main level features a café bistro as well as a high-end street level retail restaurant and bar, known as Ironwood, with outdoor dining as an option. The lobby and lounge along with a separate board room and fitness center are also on the main level. Located on the second floor is 8,888 square feet of flexible meeting and event space for weddings and special events which can be divided into smaller spaces as well. Off of the pre-function area on this floor, guests can also enjoy an additional outdoor lounge and terrace.
