BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel

Residents of the Wesley Chapel community in Florida now have a state-of-the-art option for comprehensive healthcare services. After targeting Florida’s Pasco County Region in its expansion effort, BayCare landed on the Wesley Chapel area due to its need for healthcare services within the growing region.

BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel features a 236,000-square-foot, six-story, 86-bed inpatient bed tower attached to an 85,000-square-foot medical office building. The facility features an emergency department, operating and procedure rooms, private patient rooms, intensive care unit with virtual-monitoring beds, MRI, catheterization labs, diagnostic and lab services, as well as a medical-surgical unit and physical rehabilitation services. A cafeteria, kitchen and main lobbies with coastal décor and soothing colors complete the facility.

The hospital’s innovative features include “pandemic mode” capabilities with specialized mechanical and system controls that enable negative pressure exhausts as well as Alexa integrated controls for patient comfort, enhanced monitoring, and efficiency of care. All patient rooms within the hospital are fully private, and the project is designed for additional square footage and patient beds to accommodate future growth.

The facility is the first built-from-scratch hospital branded for the BayCare Health System. The hospital expands access to convenient and high-quality care, and the new facility employs hundreds of staff.
